    Digital Strain Gage Modules (DSC) are compact, high performance strain gage digital signal conditioner modules. They are aimed at applications which require high measurement accuracy, resolution, and stability. The module and sensor may be powered by a typical DC power supply and communicates using standard or custom bus communications and protocols. Outputs include RS-232, RS-485, and CAN. Available protocols include ASCII, CAN, and Modbus.

    The DSC may be mounted in several ways, including standard or custom enclosures.

    Software tools are included for quick and convenient interfacing with device configuration, calibration, datalogging, and recording. A standard Windows DLL is provided for creating custom applications.

  • DSCUSB2

    The USB Strain Gage Module (DSCUSB) is a compact, high performance strain gage digital signal conditioner module with USB connectivity. It is aimed at applications which require high measurement accuracy, resolution, and repeatability. The module and sensor are powered by the host USB and will appear as a virtual COM port.

    It is ideal for a single sensor application. However, multiple sensors may be connected using a suitable USB hub. The IP50 rated ABS plastic enclosure may be mounted in several ways. DIN rail mounting is available (part# D4).

    Software tools are included for quick and convenient interfacing with the device for testing, configuration, calibration, datalogging, and recording. A standard Windows DLL is provided for creating custom applications.

  • msi-8004HD-indicator

    The MSI-8004HD features 1.5-inch high characters on its LED display. The display is available in either red/green or blue, allowing the controller to be clearly visible in many environments. The red/green display can be configured to change color based on weight and setpoint conditions, making the MSI-8004HD a natural fit for safety-critical industrial applications.

    The milled anodized aluminum, IP65-rated enclosure is mountable in either a direct panel mount or included tilt stand. Strainsert’s digital weight indicators have advanced electronics and simple interface make it easy to set up and operate. It is designed to perform effectively in tough environments.

  • The Model SCD1 is a series of signal conditioners which provide bridge excitation, amplification, span and balance controls and a choice of ±10 Vdc and/or 4-20 ma outputs. Primary input power is available in 120 Vac or a variety of Vdc voltage levels.

    The SCD1 can accommodate up to four channels with ±10 Vdc outputs or a maximum of 2 channels with 4-20 ma outputs.

    Standard SCD1 models are packaged in a NEMA-12 rated cabinet (NEMA-4X packages are available).

    Each input channel is connected via a six (6) pin receptacle (PT02A-10-6S)

    All output signals are provided at a terminal strip inside the signal conditioner cabinet . Each output signal has an individual terminal connection and each signal shares a single common return.

    Model PLN-D2 is a single channel handheld load indicator. Indication is direct. No multipliers are required, thus avoiding ambiguous readings. Resolution is from 1 pound to 1000 pounds depending on the load capacity of the transducer. Alternate display units are available.

    Operation is extremely simple. For normal use, only two controls are involved. Turn on the power switch, set zero load balance, and begin reading applied loads.

    A calibration check function is included to provide a quick test of the transducer and instrument integrity.

    The readout system is fully contained in a cast metal case that is both rugged and durable.

    Power is provided by a set of rechargeable batteries. Batteries and a recharger with retractable 120 Vac power cord, are included within the housing.

    Battery power allows complete freedom of use for 5-10 hours continuous, depending on transducer resistance. A ratiometric measuring technique prevents battery decay from degrading system accuracy.

    When battery voltage has decreased below a functional level, a visual display (flashing “:”) signals that recharging is needed.

    Recharging is done by withdrawing the line cord from its sealed compartment and plugging into a standard 120 Vac wall receptacle. Batteries are completely recharged overnight and can be left “on charge” indefinitely.

    The PLNX- line of indicators are 2 and 4 channel versions with the same basic circuitry and performance features as the Model PLN-D2. Additional features include different instrument cases, and switching provisions for one to four channels which accommodate up to four transducers.

    Indication is direct. Resolution is from 1 pound to 1000 pounds, depending on full scale transducer capacity. Alternate display units are available.

    Recharging is accomplished by withdrawing the recharge cord from its sealed compartment and plugging into a standard 120 Vac or 240 Vac, 60 or 50 Hz wall receptacle. 240 Vac applications will require plug adapters to be furnished locally by the customer. Batteries are completely recharged overnight and can be left “on charge” indefinitely.
    Readings can be obtained while the batteries are “on charge”. The instrument is effectively usable on either battery or line power.

    The Strainsert SJB Series Summing Junction Boxes are for parallel averaging of 2 to 4 similar transducers. The standard SJB is available in a NEMA- 12 steel enclosure (NEMA-4X packages are optionally available). The NEMA-12 comes in both a connector style and a cord grip style (NEMA-4X available with cord grips only). Cord grips accept cables with diameters between 0.250” to 0.375” inches. The removal of a gasket-tight lid enables the user to make cable wire connections to screw type terminal blocks mounted on an internal circuit board. Overall enclosure dimension are 7.5” (L) x 4.25” (W) x 3.5” (H).
